Just an awesome place to go relax.
Golf. Actually, Big Met Golf Course in the Rocky River Reservation. Has that traditional city course feel. A good test of golf for both beginner and experienced player. A lot of woods, so you often have to take your punishment if you stray off the fairway. Very nice people in the clubhouse. I enjoy playing there.
I liked the hiking there a lot. 3 different trails to explore. Graduated difficulty. The herb and spice park is very interesting. The tree cover is phenomenal. The park personnel are very helpful. The restrooms and drinking water facilities are available. There was plenty of parking spots available. Different conifer trees were interesting.
I love the Rocky River Reservation. It's got bike and walking paths. Off road trails. Rivers. Kyak rentals. There's an information center down there. A marina. A few restaurants. Golf. Parks that offer different things and views. Lots of pavilions some need to be rented out. Work out stations along the paths.
It's so beautiful. It's safe. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My five year old and his friend got lost on the trail last Spring and people who didn't even know us were concerned and offered to help us find them and did.
Beautiful west side park. Very special place immersed in nature while inside the inner ring suburbs. Cannot recommend this highly enough!
